Are you going to support this Radiohead vs Nine Inch Nail digital album contest?

Wired magazine asks, who’s winning the innovation race? Radiohead, or NIN’s Trent Reznor? Both are blazing trails (or so the argument goes) in the music industry, but who’s really kicking up dust, and who’s eating it? You can have your say by voting at Wired.com.

And Wired isn’t taking the issue lightly either. The survey is based on 10 rounds of excellence-determining factors including history of innovation, timing, digital formats, substance, breaking with the industry, punk-rock factor, remixing policy, fan-made music videos, smack talk and initial revenue.

Interview: Who would have thought Radioheda is working on new material for new album?

Talking to Pitchfork, Greenwood says: "We’re actually gonna be working with Nigel (Godrich) again soon we’ve reserved time and we’ve got stuff we want to do.

"It’s like having an old-school executive producer that’s talking about the big picture and booking time to be creative."

Colin also goes on to reveal that Radiohead are rehearsing an impressive 70 songs for their forthcoming In Rainbows world tour:

"It’s been real difficult to remember stuff. We should’ve gone onto YouTube to remind us how to play the songs." joked Greenwood.

Will all future Radiohead albums be digital releases?

Will all future Radiohead albums be digital releases?

There is lots of suspicion here:

Radiohead have already experimented with a "name-your-own-price" distribution model last October (2007), and it looks like they’re going to write some new songs soon.  And it appears they’re looking for new ways to release songs.
My guess would be they’ll post up a song up on their website to download every week or month, or something.  They have talked about writing and releasing material like this in the past, so it wouldn’t surprise me.

How Can I Download Free Games For Playstation?
By Leonard Jones

If you are looking for a place to download free games for PSP, you definitely will find many sites on the internet that allow you to do so. You probably realize that beside the risks, you also have to think about the time you spend to look for those sites.

I found some sites that say they are giving unlimited access to people to download free games for their PSP. In fact they have to pay to register to the sites. They do not have to pay a lot of money though, they only need to pay less than $5 for registering. I did pay to register, guess what?

There are a lot of contents. They vary from movies, TV shows, software, games, and so on. But all the contents are mixed. I found very little games for PSP in the site. Surprisingly, after downloading one game, It went well. I later realized that my computer had been infected by spyware and viruses, fortunately I had yet transferred the files into my PSP.

Filling our PSP with games that we buy in the retail store is not the way out if we want to save more money. So I decided to search for a legal website and still I can save download free games for PSP.

I am glad that I found some websites that provide all the contents for PSP. The websites (PSP download site) give me access to more than 20 million files including software, movies, music, and games. Unfortunately, it is not free, to be the member we have to pay approximately $40.

It is worth the price though, because we only pay once for unlimited download. Being able to access to such a huge inventory makes me save even more more money and time without having to worry about viruses and spyware. My expectations are met, I save money, I can download legally, and I do not have to worry about dangerous objects that can infect my computer as well as my PSP.

I you expect to do so, you can visit How Can I download free games for PSP? To read more about the features and benefits you can get.

Leonard Jones is a game fanatics and now he is a PSP enthusiast. He is now an expert in hacking and repairing PSP. Check out his recommendation at where to Download Unlimited contents for your PSP.

ZION TRAIN - LIVE AS ONE DVD COMING

March 28, 2008

ZION TRAIN - LIVE AS ONE DVD COMING
This year sees the release of the first album since 2002 from ‘Dub/Dance pioneers’ Zion Train. Entitled ‘Live as One’ this is be the ninth long player from the UK Dub collective since their 1992 debut ‘A Passage To Indica’. The band are back with a beautifully produced ‘New Roots’ release. ‘Live As One’ features seven vocalists in various styles. Seasoned performers Earl 16, Tippa Irie and Dubdadda are to be found alongside international stars, Raiz (Italy) and Marlene Johnson (Germany) and also strong newcomers YT and Lua. All bring sterling performances and an inspirational attitude to the album. Whether, it’s the beautiful tones of Earl, Marlene and Lua, the conscious, perceptive observations of YT, Tippa and Dubdadda or the dreamlike quality of Raiz. This album is the first produced solely by Neil Perch in the Zion Train studio in Cologne, Germany. Perch brings us an album that reassures but also pleasantly surprises; the Zion Train quality and ethos is still present and the depth and quality of musicianship is a revelation. Musicians contributing include the usual, deep blowing brass section, Dave Fullwood and Bigga alongside P Lush, of Nucleus roots fame, on guitar, keyboards from Paolo Polcari of Almamegretta, drums from Vedran of the Radikal Dub Kolektiv and melodicas from Chasbo of the Bush Chemists. Featuring musicians from Italy, Germany, Croatia, Jamaica and the UK this is truly a world-dub production.

ARCHITECTURE & MORALITY & MORE ON CD APRIL 8 and DVD JUNE 3

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark Reunited For 2007 Concert Version of Classic 1981 LP

New York, NY (March 27, 2008)—Architecture & Morality by OMD spawned three Top 5 U.K. singles in 1981 and is generally believed to be the pinnacle of the band’s career. Twenty-six years later, Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys reunited with bandmates Malcolm Holmes and Martin Cooper for an extended tour of Europe, including a stop at the prestigious Hammersmith Apollo in London, England.

On April 8, Eagle Rock Entertainment will release the CD version of this concert [pre-book date March 19, retail list price $13.98]. On June 3, Eagle will release the show in DVD format. The electrifying evening – as presented on both the DVD and CD – was divided into halves: the entire Architecture & Morality was performed in one half and a set of the band’s most beloved tracks was performed in the other half [total running time 2:15].

OMD started its long road to synthpop greatness in 1978, releasing both its self-titled debut and Organisation follow-up in 1980. After Architecture & Morality, ‘84’s Junk Culture continued their streak and in ’85, they wrote the hit song “If You Leave” for the feature film Pretty In Pink. By ’86, internal problems basically forced a schizophrenic break into two distinct camps and, ultimately, into two distinct bands: The Listening Pool and OMD, which continued with McCluskey, Stuart Kershaw, and Lloyd Massett.

Back together again in 2006, a must-have for the legions of stateside OMD fanatics, the DVD includes a 20-minute band interview, an interview with director Hambi Haralambous and three complete onstage films with audio.

Interview: Our pal Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins talks about suing people

Check this out as per his claim against his former label:

BILLY CORGAN has spoken to Billboard about THE SMASHING PUMPKINS lawsuit against Virgin records. As previously reported, the band are suing the label for using them as part of a "Pepsi stuff" promotion with Pepsi and Amazon.com after the band refused to give permission, in alleged violation of the terms of their contract. Speaking to the magazine from Australia, the singer said of the label, quote, "I’m sure they indicated to Pepsi that they had a right to do this, full well knowing they do not have the right."

Are you getting all giddy for new Portishead album?

March 28, 2008

Are you getting all giddy for new Portishead album?

Portishead are stupidly active at the moment. They do nothing for years and years and then, BAM, it’s leaked tunes, new records, news of gigs… and now… some weird little viral films (don’t worry, that doesn’t mean they’ll knacker your computer up, it’s just a media term used by bozos like me).

The first (click here) is a weird cut ‘n’ paste job whilst the second (click here) is barely worth watching as it’s a big animated Portishead ‘P’ logo.
