Future of EMI may rest on potential success of this new Coldplay album

Record labels think of a "career act" as a reliable chart-topper with a rich catalog. Meanwhile, bands define themselves as "career acts" by spending six months in South American churches recording songs with Brian Eno that are named after Frida Kahlo paintings. This darling schism may not bode well for the folks at EMI records, who are praying that Coldplay’s upcoming album will sell at least as much as 2005’s X&Y. Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends doesn’t really ring like The Joshua Tree, and phrases like "indulging experimentation" probably aren’t what the label wants to hear either.

How Can I Download Free Games For Playstation?
By Leonard Jones

If you are looking for a place to download free games for PSP, you definitely will find many sites on the internet that allow you to do so. You probably realize that beside the risks, you also have to think about the time you spend to look for those sites.

I found some sites that say they are giving unlimited access to people to download free games for their PSP. In fact they have to pay to register to the sites. They do not have to pay a lot of money though, they only need to pay less than $5 for registering. I did pay to register, guess what?

There are a lot of contents. They vary from movies, TV shows, software, games, and so on. But all the contents are mixed. I found very little games for PSP in the site. Surprisingly, after downloading one game, It went well. I later realized that my computer had been infected by spyware and viruses, fortunately I had yet transferred the files into my PSP.

Filling our PSP with games that we buy in the retail store is not the way out if we want to save more money. So I decided to search for a legal website and still I can save download free games for PSP.

I am glad that I found some websites that provide all the contents for PSP. The websites (PSP download site) give me access to more than 20 million files including software, movies, music, and games. Unfortunately, it is not free, to be the member we have to pay approximately $40.

It is worth the price though, because we only pay once for unlimited download. Being able to access to such a huge inventory makes me save even more more money and time without having to worry about viruses and spyware. My expectations are met, I save money, I can download legally, and I do not have to worry about dangerous objects that can infect my computer as well as my PSP.

I you expect to do so, you can visit How Can I download free games for PSP? To read more about the features and benefits you can get.

Leonard Jones is a game fanatics and now he is a PSP enthusiast. He is now an expert in hacking and repairing PSP. Check out his recommendation at where to Download Unlimited contents for your PSP.

Was Eddie Van Halen smart to tour with his child?

March 20, 2008

Was Eddie Van Halen smart to tour with his child?

Very good point. This could be the lesson Van Halen should have toured with their original bassist. Ego got in the way potentially

Hey guys here’s a thought, if given the opportunity to play with your own child on tour or even together for awhile, would you do that too ? of course, I’d love to jam with my kids on a tour. As to anything else, the fact that he even tries to play with what he has been thru in his life is a major complement in itself.

He dose not hide anything, he is honest in what he has been thru and, for all we may have known…. maybe he knew this might be his last chance to ever get to play with his only son, he might have known ahead of time of this current situation may arise.

And I’m sure he is using this tour to possibly aid wolfgang along on a potential career as well, thats a good father in my book ! Vito

And What About Cheap Repo Car Sales

And What About Cheap Repo Car Sales
By Septimus Smith

You can buy a new car!

In the case you are willing to purchase a vehicle; the issue needs to be considered carefully: all pluses and minuses of your potential buying. First of all, you should make your mind what car you are searching for. I mean not the model of the vehicle (that is your own choice and I can’t influence on you here) but the question what car you are going to buy: new or a used one. Providing you have a lot of money, you can allow yourself to obtain a new car. And it is cool, if a vehicle is brand new. Just imagine: you take pleasure driving where you want; you are independent and free. And what is most vital: you have no problems with your car, and you also have a warranty that you won’t have any problems afterwards. It is great, isn’t it? Yes, it is. But that works if you are a prosperous person.

But it’s better a used one!

Still not all people in our country have a possibility to purchase a brand new car. Some of them scarcely manage to make both ends meet and give their kids sufficient up-bringing. However, a vehicle nowadays is a necessity, but not a luxury. Everybody needs it, especially those people with children. Today a new approach appeared: if you need something, you can buy it. The same is about a car. You can get it anyway. Still it depends on your well-being what car to buy- a new or a used one. Nevertheless, more practical and adapted people will take the cheapest variant. If you are among them, then you will buy a used vehicle.

Purchase at cheap repo car sales!

You can do it (purchase a vehicle) at car auctions. Calculate how you will benefit, if you purchase a vehicle up to 95% off retail value! And that is not a dream nowadays, but reality! If you want to check it, turn to car auctions online. The crux of the matter is that they are much easier and quicker then going to auctions in reality. And finally if you wish to obtain a bargain, then you should use cheap repo car sales. That is up to 95% off retail value and the cars are in perfect condition, but not a jalopy (not broken or worn-out- almost new!). The fact is that cars weren’t used more than 2 years because they were repossessed. But still the quality of cars at cheap repo car sales is good. So try them and you will benefit!

Cheap repo car sales: are they worth trying?

Kanye West is known for his rapid transformation from hip-hop beatmaker to worldwide hitmaker, in the last few years. He continues to amaze us with his flamboyant personality and dapper fashion sense that has set him apart from most of his rap peers.

Kanye’s latest Album Graduation sold almost a million copies in its debut week. "Can’t Tell Me Nothing" struck a chord in the ‘hood as Kanye had never done before, giving him his biggest street anthem. "Stronger" topped charts all over the world, and "Good Life" is still getting radio love months after its release. He hasn’t even officially put out "Flashing Lights" yet, and it’s already a club staple. Kanye led the 2008 Grammy nominations with eight, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, a category he’s nominated in twice.

At the young age of 19, Rhianna, the Barbados – born beauty, has already earned the coveted title of international superstar. In just three short years, Rihanna has helped define the path of popular music, accured multiple #1 hits, two MTV Video Music Awards and Three Billboard awards along her way.

With two successful albums under her belt in just two years, Rihanna dropped her third and most critically acclaimed LP, Good Girl Gone Bad in 2007. The album’s first single “Umbrella,” was the undisputed number one pop song of the summer and dominated the pop, urban and crossover charts for eight weeks in the U.S. As well was the #1 single in the U.K for 11 consecutive weeks. With the continued success of her latest album she has been nominated for six 2008 Grammy Awards. Rihanna’s impressive discography and a growing collection of the music industry’s most cherished awards have proven that this is only the beginning.

Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes are the most revolutionary production tandem in modern music since Quincy Jones and Rod Tempterton put down shuffle-beats and doo-wops behind a young singer named Michael Jackson. With their digital musical palette and vivid imaginations, they’ve taken their hip-hop foundation and un-tethered the bounds of pop, bestowing unsuspecting hit records in almost machine-gun-like succession – whether in rap (Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, et al), R&B (Usher, Babyface), pop (Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake) or rock (No Doubt). N.E.R.D is the offspring of the Neptunes id, a fly-or-die, thrash-around, do-as-you-will, set-your-soul-on-fire alter ego that subscribes to no rules, adheres to no agenda. It is Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Hayley – a trio whose chemistry allows the uninhibited exploration of the sounds, emotions and impulses of self and society, of identity and belonging.

Lupe Fiasco has trail-blazed his own path to critical acclaim. Possessing head-spinning wordplay and a topical range more akin to the underground than the mainstream, the 25-year-old lyricist has proven that talent can still make waves in the rap game. Since Lupe Fiasco debuted his first album in 2006 Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor (executive produced by good friend, and one-time mentor, Jay-Z) he has been nominated a remarkable three Grammy nominations - including Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Song for "Kick Push." Now, ready to capitalize on such promise, Fiasco has returned with his second offering, Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool.

Don’t miss the Kanye West Glow In The Dark Tour co-starring Rihanna, N.E.R.D and Lupe Fiasco at The Molson Amphitheatre on May 21st 2008!

Whoa! Spice Girls are bigger than ever thanks to this new tour

February 4, 2008

Whoa! Spice Girls are bigger than ever thanks to this new tour

The Return Of The Spice Girls Tour
Huge Global Demand For Spice Girls Exceeds Original Expectations

'If you see the show and don't love every single second, check
your pulse please because you might actually be dead.'
        Daily Mirror - December 2007

(February 1, 2008) When the Spice Girls reunited for the first
time as a five piece in nine years last June announcing The Return Of
The Spice Girls Tour, no-one was quite sure how the world would respond.
Certainly no-one could have predicted just how phenomenal the demand was
eventually going to be. Within days over one million people in the UK
alone had registered for tickets as well as three million people in the
U.S. The Spice Girls are in huge global demand and since reforming they
have received literally thousands of requests and offers to play in
almost every country in the world.

When tickets went on sale for the first UK show at the O2 Arena
they sold out in a record breaking 38 seconds. It was clear this was
going to be no ordinary tour. Within days the girls extended their 02
run to an incredible 17 shows. If it hadn't been for other tour
commitments they could have continued to add dates. Spice fever was well
and truly back.

The Return Of The Spice Girls Tour finally kicked off to global
critical acclaim in Vancouver on December 2, 2007 and this stage of the
tour will finally come to an end on February 26 in Toronto. This will be
the fourth show in Toronto which was voted Spice City by fans. Within
that time the girls will have performed shows in North America , UK and
Europe to well over half a million fans. The icons of girl power are
still at the top of their game. The girls have been stunning audiences
with their high-energy performances and have brought back some much
needed fun, excitement and glamour to the music world. How lucky for
Canada to have the tour begin and end here!

In North America Hello! Canada Magazine praised, "Girl power
made a triumphantly flashy return," the LA Daily News reported, "They
may just be better than ever on this tour," and that the tour "wasn't a
comeback at all, it was an upgrade". The Montreal Gazette declared
"Spice Girls Still Hot," with "maximum entertainment value," while the
San Francisco Chronicle wrote, "The Spice Girls is the reunion that
matters this year. Spice Girls prove they have staying power". In the UK
the Independent On Sunday commented, "Brassier, bolder and better than
ever. This was a spectacular show." The News Of The World claimed,
"Those girls are STILL amazing on stage. What a show - everything all
the mad fans could hope for after ten long years of waiting."

Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February
due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C
and Victoria. It was announced in June that, as well as the Europe and
the US, the girls planned to visit Australia, China, South Africa and
Argentina. Due to the phenomenal demand for tickets in the UK and the US
along with the touring logistics for such a massive production it was
not possible to fit everything in. As the girls return to normal family
life and the kids go back to school they are reviewing all the options,
who knows what the future might bring!

The girls said: "We've had such an amazing time over the last
three months. It's been incredible being back together and seeing our
fans again. We want to thank everyone who came to see us. It was all so
mad the first time round, so we've really been able to appreciate it
properly this time. There have been so many highlights and good times
that we know it will be hard to be apart after Toronto. Really sorry if
we didn't get to see you this time round. We all have other commitments
in our lives now but who knows what will happen next."

The tour wraps up on February 26 in Toronto. Tickets are
limited. More information can be obtained by logging on to the official
website at www.thespicegirls.com <outbind://153/www.thespicegirls.com>

JOURNEY TOUR SCHEDULED TO OPEN VIRTUAL WORLD IN SECOND LIFE!

January 25, 2008

JOURNEY TOUR SCHEDULED TO OPEN VIRTUAL WORLD IN SECOND LIFE!
January 25, 2008 — On February 1, multi-Platinum rockers Journey will release their new Virtual Island in Second Life. A grand opening party is planned inside Second Life at the “Journey Rock Band” sim and will feature a meet and greet with band members.  Live DJs will be spinning many of Journey’s classic hits, recorded studio and live performances, as well as lots of other great music for fans to party to! The grand opening party is scheduled to start at 10:00am ET/PT. The Journey Island region in Second Life is named “Journey Rock Band”.  Learn more at http://www.secondlife.com.
Journey has long been known for innovations in stage sets, so creating a Second Life Island for fans to enjoy was an easy decision. The Island features dedicated areas for each album along with audio and video presentations. There are also two venues on the island, the Escape Club and the Captured Amphitheater, where live SL events can be held.
Journey’s newly redesigned website, http://www.journeymusic.com, will be re-launch on or around January 29.  It will feature band history, tour information, photos and a new forum.
Journey is currently working on a new album with legendary producer Kevin Shirley, which they hope to release by spring/summer 2008.  Their 2008 world tour begins in Santiago, Chile mid-February.  More tour dates will be announced soon.
The Journey Island was built by Industrial-Design.com, Journey’s long time web developer and features work by SL builders Farrokh Vavoom, Argus Collingwood, Adrian Harbinger and Jocelyn Sands.
Recent Press Release:
Journey–Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ross Valory (bass), Deen Castronovo (drums)–is proud to introduce fans all over the world to their new lead singer, Arnel Pineda (”pin-eh-da”). He replaces Jeff Scott Soto, who parted ways with the band earlier this year after stepping in for Steve Augeri, who had to leave the band in 2006 for medical reasons.
Arnel hails from Quezon City in the Philippines and has been singing Journey songs–in addition to original material–with his band, The Zoo, for the past couple of years in clubs all over his homeland. Joining the legendary band is a dream come true for him.
“It’s so exciting to sing with one of the best bands in the world. It’ll be a lot of hard work on my part and I’m actually looking forward to the scrutiny I’ll get from the hardcore Journey fans. I know they’ll expect me to sound exactly like `the voice` (Steve Perry), but that will never happen. I know there’s only one Steve Perry in this world.”
When it was time for Journey to look for a new lead singer, the internet came to their rescue. Guitarist Neal Schon wanted someone new to the music business, so he turned to YouTube. After finding Arnel singing “Faithfully,” he knew he had found the perfect frontman.
“I was frustrated about not having a singer,” explains guitarist Neal Schon, “so I went on YouTube for a couple of days and just sat on it for hours. I was starting to think I was never going to find anybody. But then I found The Zoo and I watched a bunch of different video clips that they had posted. After watching the videos over and over again, I had to walk away from the computer and let what I heard sink in because it sounded too good to be true. I thought, `he can’t be that good. But he is that good, he’s the real deal and so tremendously talented. Arnel doesn’t sound synthetic and he’s not emulating anyone. I tried to get a hold of him through YouTube and I finally heard from him that night, but it took some convincing to get him to believe that it really was me and not an imposter.”
Arnel Pineda picks up the story: “My friend Noel picked up the message on YouTube and told me it was from Neal. I thought it was a hoax so I ignored it. Noel said, `what if it really was Neal and he wanted to offer you the chance of a lifetime?` So I e-mailed Neal back and the rest is history.”
“Arnel brings a soulful and passionate voice to Journey,” continues keyboardist Jonathan Cain. “His personality is very well-suited to our music. He’s a sincere, authentic person with a great smile and a big heart. I think fans are really going to love him. With Arnel’s soaring tenor, Journey returns to our heritage sound.”
Schon agrees, “We feel reborn. I think there’s a lot of chemistry between the five of us. At first we were going to go into the studio and just write 4 songs, but now it’s escalated to a lot of great new and diverse material. The stuff sounds tremendous. Everyone’s so stoked about it. We feel very fortunate to have found Arnel.”
